Oh no, he's certainly still a jerk with a heart of jerk. But maybe with just a smidgen of chivalry. Not much, but... Congrats, Jonan! You aren't a -complete- jerk!
Offended gurgling is just perfect. Poor Sev.

re: Sev -- right? All the expressions are great but the wounded expression of the splorched eyes seen through the forcefield in panel 3!!!
Though I'm having trouble seeing him as offended so much as going haaaalp in panel 5, maybe i'm reading the eyes wrong?

His eyes seem to show a wide range of emotions. In panel 5, The bottom-most eye (the one closest to Xira's hand) looks like "I am so done with this." The one above that seems to have more of the "Haaaalp!" expression. The one closest to Xira's face seems annoyed. The smaller eye that's in the middle of all these make me think of a shocked, or in pain expression. That's just my interpretation though!

Sev is killing me on this page. He looks so taken off guard on page one Like, "Why did you bring her?" and on panel three that one eye just makes me think "OMG, WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" And he looks so annoyed in the fifth panel. An annoyed mass of tentacles and eyes. (And that's not to mention how ticked off Æmber is.)
Also, Jonan's expressions are great as always. I think it's nice how Jonan looks like he's stepping between Tarri and aberrant-Sev in panels three and four. Jonan can be a gentleman!
