That panel with Tareth nuzzling with the mount is just the cutest thing ever, I'm not gonna lie. Makes me smile, she just looks so content~ I also really like how you take a few 'thoughts' for the mentions of the necropony to grow in volume as he homes in, it's a really cool effect. And Xira's ^^; face when he's bluffing his way through 'asking' around.

And I just now remembered that Xira is a mind reader. . . So he's going to realize Tareth is mad at him pretty quickly. Or maybe she's not mad at him, just frustrated. But whatever the case, he's gonna figure it out really quick.

Aw, give him a break, it's got to take some getting used to having to face a person every time you speak to them. I know I have a strong tendency to look away from people entirely when I'm talking to them. ^^; I love the little comments to himself regarding the crowd, very authentic. XD We've all had that, "Okay don't walk in front of me and then STOP, dude." I'm also amused that Xira uses the word 'dude', mainly because it helps prevent me from sticking him in some sort of 'stereotypical posh-speaking Arab' type of slot. Stereotypes are dumb and fun to destroy. :D

I sorta figured the 'dude!' comment was someone behind Xira thinking that because Xira was cutting through the crowd and abruptly stopped when he 'heard' a thought about Necropony..though I agree it's fun when he says more casual things like 'oh, shoot' XD I like how Shazz describes him as 'so smooth' but also a goof, it certainly seems supported in his behavior!
I really love all the different fonts and ways of writing different forms of communication-- the hazy bubbles for thoughts, the bubble-less outlined words for lipreading dialogue that would have been inaudible at that distance, Jonan's writing, Tareth's unique speech etc. It adds so much flavor!

Hmm... Xira's very definitely avoiding mentioning that he's a Witch of Mind now. I'm guessing, based on how they mark witches coming into the town, that they ain't all that fond of 'em in these parts.
Probably rightly so. Energybenders can manipulate the four classical elements which, whilst potentially dangerous, is hard to hide. Sure, shapeshifters could probably turn you into a newt, but you'd get better. As for life mages, they seem like clerics or druids in a setting where CoDzilla is thankfully averted.
But witches? Man, all reading your mind and controlling your body, combined with a bunch of other freaky powers, allegedly. They might not use those powers for harm, but it's gotta make people paranoid; gotta make 'em all with the being distrustful.

(As for CODzilla being averted, I think it's mostly averted b/c the different things clerics can do tend to be split up. Runewriter healers don't also control nature, and runewriters with nature magic can't also cast debilitating death magic, etc etc.
....which might make Jonan basically the sole example of CODzilla???? which sort of explains a lot now that you mention it..... >A> )

I honestly sort of completely forgot about the mind reading boy with the bunny-bird.
Not something I would have expected to say :)
But so glad we see them again (I mean Xira and Tareth), curious how _they_ are going to fare. Hopefully better than the other too - though that still doesn't imply a lot. :L

Ok, you probably meant "I wish I had", but when Tehbeefer didn't change it, I tried to make sense of "I wish at had a shape shifting best friend" and... Tavros. I wish Tavros has a shapeshifting friend, with his liking animals and all. It kinda fits.

Misc feedback:
Some of the banner faces (especially Xira and Pony) have greenish dots around them. I only raise this 'cuz the others don't. It's not the biggest thing in the world, more of a super-minor aesthetic inconvenience. Still... maybe if it's not too much of an effort, at some point you could clean it up? I guess?
Maybe it's because I do lots of proofreading at my job, and my eyes are fixed on spotting errors... sorry 8]

Ahhh you guys, I really don't wanna fuss at anyone for commenting a whole bunch, because I love comments and I love hearing from you guys always! ;u; And I'm really fortunate to have a comments section where you guys can reply to each other and stuff and I think it's RAD -- But I do wanna ask you guys not to take up too much space with off-topic conversation! I'm sure no one meant for it to, but it ends up being unfair to anyone who checks the comic late in the week and isn't able to comment on the actual page without their comment getting lost in the conversation. I feel bad cutting anyone out, and I don't want that to happen! ;u;
BASICALLY all I'm gonna say is that if you're chatting in the comments and it gets long enough that you feel the need to "start a new thread" because the replies are getting too narrow, that MIGHT BE A GOOD TIME to exchange emails or DA accounts and become penpals. xD
BUT THAT SAID thanks always for your comments, guys; you don't know how much it means to me to be able to hear back from you all. It's probably my favourite thing about doing a webcomic. ;u; <3
