In which we learn a little bit more about runewriters!
As an aside, it was a very long time in developing this world before I realised that elementals who had both water and earth spells should probably have a special talent for ice rather than, say, mud.

Yay for more magic system info!
I'm guessing that among elementalists onesies and twosies are fairly common because they can't/don't have control of a pair of elements that don't like each other, but threesies and foursies are rare because they'd have to control one or both opposing pairs.
