I think the madghost got interrupted by the weird pink magic. But even if he hadn't, I guess Sev has lots of different memories of Iavin (probably all of them bad).

Either on that page with the memory or another one Shazbaa replied to someone who was stating that Sev will forget about Iavin now, that not if there are more memories like that. The same way you wouldn't forget about your friend just because you forgot one memory of them, you still have the others. ;)
Which pretty much confirms that the madghost didn't get interrupted (mabye that's why it looked like Iavin a bit?), but he just has more memories of him.

Just realized, I guess this means Sev didn't have his whole memory of Iavin stolen by the madghost though huh?
