wait what who are these guys

Don't forget to vote for an extra doodle! This one asks an obvious question.

(Also, a small note regarding the last page -- a few folks in the Discord weren't sure, so I'll clarify here too that yeah, Quentin's wearing a binder! He's trans! I wanted to not make it a big reveal or anything and aPPARENTLY IT WAS SO LOWKEY THAT IT WASNT EVEN NOTICEABLE so I thought it might be nice to confirm. xD )

Vote Incentive for This Comic.

Whose bright idea was it to vow to "never rest"? I'm pretty sure any productivity gained is negated by the fact that all your members are going to die by the time they're 35. Unless this is exclusive to the Agoraths? That would explain why Quentin looks so exhausted and the other Order people we've seen seem relatively fine. Poor Quentin :(

This is probably completely wrong, but I get the feeling the vow may also directly tie into the duties of the person who makes the vow. We do know, after all, that the mark spreads on other members of the Order - Esra mentions that his mark is fine, and the magician we saw earlier had it up to her elbow.

I distinctly remember the previous Agorath, Quentin's father, looking equivalently like a sleepless zombie in that one Father's Day vote incentive. This may imply that the Agoraths simply have more work that must be done to push it back, or that the mark spreads faster the more work you must do. Perhaps the Agoraths literally get no time to rest.

Esra as Sortiar probably has a lot to do as well, but I imagine he's not a good indicator of the average human's ability to handle workload. He probably works in his dreams as well.

Maybe for normal ritualists, simply busting a couple aberrants a day will satisfy the mark. Maybe simply being on the hunt is enough.

I have nooo idea, though.
