I don't think there are any miscasts, or any magic, really, at work on Xira. Even the evidence of him being some kind of runecaster is hidden by a physical covering.

I would't be surprised if he steps in, runs off and grabs a notebook and pen, goes back in, and writes down all the memories he's miscasted away from himself.
