He is (a) running off (b) in the dark (c) while trying not face any of the party, there is NO WAY she's making out anything he's saying
but he is jumping up suddenly and dashing off with weird overdramatic urgency and capturing the attention of the entire table, rather than walking to the bathroom normally, so he could still do a better job of not embarrassing her in public

I like that they're just casually having a midnight snack while there's some big aberrant ritual happening next to them??
Also: Tareth being able to read Sev's lips as he runs off but not noticing his arms have eyes now? :O
