Okay but regarding Jonan rolling his eyes, I just realized on a re-read that not only is he listening to blushing teens talk about beloved trashy snake romances, but also from the perspective of being well aware the witch teen is all super smoothly being like 'so mind powers sure do get a bad rap, y/y?'

Jonan is stuck with his mouth shut in a state of perpetually just avoiding doom, and this is what he has to work with... I love it.
