Ahhh! Chapter Four begins!! If you vote on TWC you'll get what is basically me going through my comic to remember exactly how much time has passed.

Is this still their immediate escape from the city and the cultists? I was thinking there might be some elided scene that we'd get in recap or flash-back.
I seriously hope they don't have any sort of trackers following them, because it doesn't look like they're bothering to cover their tracks at all.

Sev also like... hasn't slept for over a day, severian is definitely the guy in college who goes through exams like "HAHA I HAVEN'T SLEPT IN 72 HOURS" and yet still insists on driving to class

I wasn't even referring to the noise they're making. (Picture a face-palming hobbit witness.) I was thinking of the physical evidence they're leaving in their wake. I mean, pursuers won't even need a hunter to find their tracks. This crew is leaving a trail even a townie could follow.
Also, where are they? It's not exactly uninhabited wilderness, judging by the roof & chimney in the background of frame 3. Is this just a bit of green-space on the edge of the city?

It's a tower from far away, not a chimney, so they might be a bit further out based on that -- but yeah, they're outside the city-state!

Look at the grace and beauty of that escape! They're working like a well-trained team already!
Seriously, though - for a bunch of mostly-strangers, ONLY ONE of whom even reaches average levels of quietness/inconspicuousness, the fact that they were able to make any kind of stealthy escape at all is pretty impressive! (Let's hope that they actually did and that the hunters aren't five minutes behind following their trail.)
It's hard to blame Sev for being irritable after the day he's had, but it's still nice to see him possibly realizing he's being a little hard on Xira.
Also, six days in five years isn't bad in webcomic time!
