I don't think Jonen's mad diplomatic skillz would work all that well against the ritualists in this particular situation. I don't think they'd be intimidated, and I DO think they'd notice that he's unable to cast.

I almost couldn't take this comment seriously because I started laughing at the idea of Jonan's "mad diplomatic skillz."
"Now that I've sealed your mouth shut I'm sure you're more willing to negotiate a surrender, right?"
(Besides even if they COULDN'T tell he can't cast... While you might get past a city guard just by glaring, I feel like the Order's soldiers want answers and are way too eager to stab things to wait till he wrote it all down.)

Fair point. It probably says a lot about my opinion on Sev's diplomacy skills that I think someone who can't speak would have a better chance of getting him out of trouble.

..."Going from trouble to naked trouble is never a good thing."
This is a good life philosophy, I think.
(There's also the simple question of: would Jonan help.)

Oh my. Is that wrong that for some reason, that last sentence immediatelly spawned in my head the question: "What would Jonan do?"

Yay! Runewriters!
Here's hoping Jonan turns up to intimidate people away because, seriously, Sev's making a real mess of these things. He went from trouble into naked trouble. And that's never a good thing.
