So, I was gonna just draw a cool picture of a character for filler, and then somehow settled on the one character that I can absolutely guarantee will not appear in the comic anymore because he is dead? >A>;

He... he was fun to draw though!

Anyway! The point is that I'll probably do another doodle of some kind next week and then the week AFTER that I'll have more page-y goodness for you. :3 I'll see you guys then! :"D

So, this means that you're definitely up to *something*? I look forward to March, when (hopefully) all will be revealed in TNH...

Hahahaha, I'd hate to build up false hype! Like I said last week, the truth is that I'm up to working on TNH books, which is a more involved process than might be expected.
A lot of people also think that my decision to end TNH means some CRAZY CHANGE is happening right now but that's not really so! I'm still just working at Target and drawing comics. :3

Well OKAY FIIIIINE I guess it would technically be possible to make a zombie out of his corpse, assuming the Warriors of Agorath didn't destroy it before they left Kalorig.
BUT THAT JUST DOESN'T SEEM THE SAME SOMEHOW

It's too bad he died. He looks like such an interesting guy! Do you ever have the problem of side characters trying to become main characters?

Confession: he was my favourite of that troupe of warriors from Chapter 1. (Probably the accent is to blame, because I am super shallow!)

Also, yes, this happens. Sometimes I tell these characters "no" and send them away! Sometimes I let them get killed by aberrants, apparently. And sometimes they do eventually become main characters. When I first conceived of the idea for Runewriters, there were probably 3 major characters. The current outline for the story has at least 9, so many that I have started to mentally distinguish between major main characters and minor main characters, which is probably a sign that I have too many characters in one story.

OH WELL.

This... is weird for me. For some reason, I thought he was a she.

Hahaha, you weren't alone. Like three or four people in the comments for this page refer to him as "the Russian lady," after I mentioned that I had intended him to be a guy he was dubbed "ERD: Effeminate Russian Dude." xD

I honestly didn't realise it when I invented him, but I think the elvish qualities of his face made him pretty androgynous.

I know I read all his lines with a woman's voice. I think he will stay a woman in my mind. Like him better that way.
