Tareth honey, help from where? You're in the middle of the forest and the nearest people are the muulorns who kidnapped your friends.
And re: vote incentive. I'd absolutely read a webcomic of just necropony and Hache oh my goodness :D

I love how the switch from yellow to green speech bubbles, surrounded by leaves, makes this whole conversation seem hushed and secretive without any change in the actual lettering.
I could comment on the increasing chance that Sev turning everyone into squirrels is going to be the best plan, or the way Xira is making me rethink classifying Sev as the most impulsive member of the group, but mostly I'm just distracted by the happiest prettiest muulorn up there in panel 1.

Ooo, good point about the speech bubbles. Also, I totally agree about the Mulorn - it's striking a picture perfect pose - ready for it's close up!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Shazzbaa for keeping it real with the lip reading. I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy, and while it is fun to daydream about what it might be like to live in those worlds, I can't help but remember that things like griffins and dragons, for instance, would be almost impossible for me to understand verbally.
Sometimes I'll see TV shows where they have people with hearing loss do some pretty amazing lip-reading feats, and while some few people may actually be that good...most of the time lip-reading is actually really hard work. By not portraying it accurately, media can set up hearing people to think that lip reading is some sort of communication panacea - it's not!

Do wolves even have lips to read?

Well, a strange deaf girl wandering up to them in the middle of the woods and being unable to communicate would be pretty distracting.
