Voting for Runewriters, as always, gets you a little extra doodle! this one ponders some logistics.
So some people noticed Æmber's joined the top banner rotation (I also redrew a lot of them so if you thought they looked slightly different, YOU WERE IN FACT CORRECT), but since it's official now, she's been added to the Cast Page! :D

Sooooooo seriously tho where are Aember's parents? Has that been addressed? I think it was mentioned somewhere that they handed her over to the church when the miscast happened, but I could be misremembering...? Still, if they are still around? If so, are they gonna be okay with the whole a two adult men and a teen girl you don't know are taking your daughter on a road trip thing? Not to mention that one of them is that awful necromancer guy everyone hates?
On that note, why the heck are the priests okay with this idea? I mean, WE know that our group won't harm her (at least not intentionally *cough*) but the priests certainly don't know that. I mean yeah she's in a perma-force field, so there's that, but still...

Gah, in the joy and excitement of learning that Aember was coming with them, I totally didn't even think about her parents . . . Now you've got me concerned about them too . . . Maybe the church just came and took her when they figured out she was the chosen one? Would her parents just presume that the priests knew what they were talking about? How much power does the church have anyway? This is gonna keep me up nights . . .
As far as the priests being okay with it, they were actually the ones to suggest it, if I remember correctly. Maybe she's in so much danger that they figure it's more important to get her out of there quickly . . . plus having a guy who can turn into a dragon as a bodyguard shouldn't hurt . . .

You know, as soon as I saw Aember on the banner, I headed over to the cast page. She wasn't on there yet, but it strengthened my hope!
Also, I love the second panel: Jonan's head whip and look of angry disbelief is PERFECT! I mean, I really hoped that both Aember and Xira would join the group, so I'm super happy right now! But if I were Jonan, I would be pretty cranky, not only about the additional people (who are gonna learn about his little "secret" that he doesn't want getting out), but also that Sev, of all people, is apparently the presumed leader of the group who gets to make the important decisions!

And since everyone was discussing when Æmber would or wouldn't be added to the cast page -- the thing I was actually waiting on was for the priests to refer to her as Magic Manifest, since that was gonna be listed for her magic! I'm just super picky about using things outside the comic when they haven't come up in the comic yet. x3

But man, this is going to be exciting! Except all I can think of is them utilizing the fact that Æmber's force field is sturdy... Like, as a table or improv umbrella... (Why am I like this)... Seriously though, she's finally going to see the world around her! The beautiful... Dangerous... Aberrant-filled... Good green world! Yay!!!

She probably could make other (temporary) shields, too. Sev's numerous miscasts did not keep him from casting - not while he still had hands.
