OH HEY SO GUYS remember when I was talking about that Cautionary Fables and Fairytales: African Edition book that I'm going to have a story in that has a kickstarter going on right now? Heh. I was wondering about that too. He does seem like the paranoid sort, so I wouldn't put it past him. If he does suspect Xira's a witch, though, he probably won't show any indication of it until he gets his voice back.

I think he would most likely guess, but I don't think he's prejudiced against witches - though if he's as mean to them as he's to other people, that still leaves a lot of room for unpleasantness...

Oh, I like how her ring glows when it's casting! Does she have to put new runes on it after she uses it, or is it always usable? It seemed like some of Sev's got consumed before..?
Also curious re: the Kickstarter-- do you think you'll ever sell any of your Runewriter pages, Shazz? Though I could totally understand if being nearer and dearer to your heart you didn't want to do that. : )

She would put new runes on it, most likely. Runes usually disappear after use. c:
As to selling pages, I might some day? I have no current plans to, so I doubt it would happen any time soon, unless I suddenly run out of money and have to sell as much art as possible as quickly as I can, haha! I don't have anything against selling originals once I've put together the books and know I won't need them, but I've never really sold original pages before so it's something I'd have to put thought into as far as how to set that up.
I'll wait until I'm done having issues getting the store working before I ponder stuff like that, I think! x3

So that's what happens when a witch hides mind-boxes badly. I think I have a very inexperienced one haunting me.
Xira, you should've hid it better. Now I have to spend weeks in suspense, just waiting for her to remember. Oh the horror. (And I love it how in every panel that Xira's in he's making a funny face.)
I like that lady. Jonan must be having several heartattacks at once. Poor man, that's a dreadful thing to wake up to. (He kind of deserves it)

Re: the vote incentive - I find it ridiculously cool that she uses her powers to keep blood inside people. That seems such a handy thing to be able to do, particularly in medicine...

Oh, and I was wondering - would she also be able to manage internal bleeding, or shift fluids around inside the body? Like, divert blood to where it is needed, or dissolve clots... (that's probably insanely specific, but it fascinates me, anyway ;) )

I suspect this lady would have helped without any trickery. She seems really nice, and we're given hints that she's been through a lot. I'm not saying she'd forgive Jonan, just that she probably doesn't wish death on him as long as he stops his bad habits.

On the other hand, she might have been too terrified of him to help. I think Jonan has proved that he's justifiably feared, rather than irrationally feared. I could see her going "ohcrapohcrapohcrap" and slamming the door as soon as she saw him.

Though by the same token we've seen no evidence people can actually 'will save' against Xira's abilities, couldn't he have asked her like a normal nice person and then if she freaked out put her to sleep and went with this plan? Either way if she remembers him she's going to be pretty mad. At least if he'd explained first she might remember his explanation too, not simply him attacking her as some apparent evil witch lackey of Jonan's. Though I guess after how he got shut out with doctor dude, door slamming could be a legitimate concern...

Also, I can't believe I didn't notice her <lementlist armband, which makes sense given the hair-concealing headwear, with the bonus of added formality and professionalism.
