I love Xira's face. His FACE. It's just. How can I explain it. It's just great. And sort of pretty. (I'm sure that is an offensive description)

Adding to that useless paragraph, I can see their arduous predicament lengthening...

Not offensive at all! Xira is the prettiest boy in the cast. c:

I second that. (and am also glad that I'm not the only one thinking this)

Hmm... a previous patient, an obvious victim of Jonan's (in context - "severe dehydration"), "see p. 182, [treatment] employe[d]"... what? And page 182 had a picture of... a lady ranger?

Is it really bad that my first thought was, "Oh, good, a more rounded party"?

Hmmm... Was it the slamming of the door (causing a physical block between the two) that caused the psychic disconnect or is it a proximity thing?

It might have been that the healer was mentally turning them away as much as physically, (subconsciously)forcing Xira out of his head. Just a theory... :)

(BTW, first time commenter, thank you so much for this lovely comic, Shazz. Having a marvelous time reading it. :))

I kinda assume it's a proximity thing. Mindreading would be wayyyyy overpowered if you could just kinda.... read the mind of whomever you're thinking about, but at the same time it would be sorta weird if you could just hold up a sheet of lead Order-of-the-Stick-style and prevent yourself from being scanned by someone standing right there. xD

So this is random but I just saw the art piece you did for Final Arcanum as I'm going through its archives and I love it. Iver in your style steals my heart away.

... Hmm. So I wonder if this implies that a witch requires line of sight to use their magic. It would explain why Iavin couldn't have just gotten Quentin himself to let him into his office, he had to use Esra instead.

I like that Mr. RudeHealer turning away and shutting the door cut off Xira's connection, but I feel kind of bad for him (Xira, not RudeHealer). It looks like that abrupt ending to his search gave him a headache.
