Trivia: they don't have a cruciform floorplan because their religion doesn't really have cross symbology - they have diamonds all over everything instead. If you look at the gravestones in Jonan's cemetery in earlier pages, the "crosses" there are actually basically diamonds on sticks. c:

Pretty cool! I wasn't really interested in architecture until I took an art class and we looked at a bunch of renaissance churchs and buildings and stuff; it was pretty incredible to think many were made by people who were artists first, and people trained to keep buildings from falling down second.

Ahhh, thank you! I'm not a big fan of Gaudi, to be honest, but his stuff is always crazy detailed, that's for sure. @u@
I hadn't seen that particular building of his though! Something about it makes it seem like it really should be an undersea castle.

Not all Christian churches have that layout. The Hagia Sophia, is basically a slightly rectangular square.

Hope your family is OK. I'm a TNH fan, so I've "met" them. On the other hand, worrying about real people is far preferable to worrying about fictional ones. :)

Cool sketches! I really like the lines of this church.
Have you ever checked out Gaudi's church, the Sagrada Familia? The details on the façades are nuts. That place would be a nightmare to draw. Amazing though.
