This is how most people categorise their memories, right? Asking for a friend.

And as usual, you can get an extra doodle if you vote! This one has vague explanations.

Seeing yourself dead and cut into pieces is only very slightly upsetting, Xira... Come on now.

Oh gosh I hadn't even realized that was Xira's body, I'm not used to his hair being visible, aaaargh Jonan why

Nah. I think that’s the same person that was in that drawing that Ezra drew on his wall recently. I forget which page that happened on. I’m not sure what happened to that body before Jonan got a hold of it, but it looks like maybe he was trying to put someone back together using other skeletons. Kind of like a Frankenstein’s monster sort of situation. It must have been someone he cares about who is rather important to him, if he went to all that trouble to try to put them back together. Looks like he was unsuccessful, though. Maybe a lost love. That could explain why he’s so misanthropic.

I think we're seeing this morgue like setting because it represents how Jonan's mind categorizes how well he knows them and what makes them tick... not in a literal sense but that's what is visualized. I'm guessing the more fleshed out someone is, the more he thinks he knows about them.

The one with the hair is definitely Xira. The other one... not sure? The memory view doesn't look familiar -- It doesn't look like the thief/Quentin's muse to me...

I do wonder whether more flesh means more familiar or less... Is he disecting or compiling? And is body condition indicative of like/dislike? (See: the poor maggot-ridden someone in panel 2)

At first this page was really disturbing, but then I realized that this is probably just what Jonan considers a normal working environment, and now it's really disturbing again but for a different reason.

(On top of what Xira is actually doing, of course, to which I'm having pretty much the same reaction as Æmber is.)

Boy, Xira sure is lucky that Sev doesn't have any traumatic events in his past.

Doesn't he?

I half expect Sev's mind to be full of squirrels or random animals running around in complete chaos.
But then he had those, uh, unpleasant experiences when he was a kid, so maybe it's all locked down (though "all locked down" is had to reconcile with how we know Sev now).
But maybe Xira will find the memories he has of what's-his-name-Witch! That would be interesting, seeing as Sev and Xira see him in a very different light. I wonder how Xira would react.

That's an interesting idea - now I'm picturing a room that's mostly squirrels and puppies, but with this THING caged up in the back corner, almost out of sight.

Now I wonder what Xira's mind is like. Probably not a building like the others, seeing as he's nomadic, but maybe if they have tents they can put down anywhere... ?

Wellp, having to bury the body more literally this time! Not so nice as a cute photo album!
Oooooh was he so squicked out he forgot to remove AEmber from Jonan's mind? It seemed like he did that to Tareth, but I really gotta wonder what he's planning here?? If they all forget her, is he just planning to leave her in the wilderness alone?? That's pretty cold! I'm curious when we get to learn more of his motivations. Not sure if he feels he flat out has no option but to make this work, or if it's more a snowball thing where he's so used to watching his back he's panicking and doing a bunch of stuff he probably wouldn't if he'd calmed down and had time to think... waaaagh!

Oh my god oh my god oh my god Jonan's mind is AMAZING, seriously.

I also write a few characters with psy-related abilities and am always rambling on about metaphors and headcanons to explain how mental visualization and manipulation and things work and you put a really cool spin on it! If that is indeed Xira's corpse on that table, kudos, that's brilliantly creepy. Well done!

A house of cadavers does make sense to me. Jonan has to know about anatomy right? He runs a hospital. Was very common in victorian times to steal bodies from cemeteries for medical study.

Jonan's a necromancer, I expect he has a whole raft of reasons for collecting cadavers, and having them form the basis of his thoughts.

Is- is that Xira's own body there? That would freak me out far too much to continue. And I'm pretty sure I'd puke.

I am also very worried about how much worse Sev's mind is going to be, now that the rule of foreshadowing has been invoked.

What happens when you puke inside someone's mind, I wonder? Hm....

(but also, big same on The Rule of Foreshadowing there. oh boy.)

The host may awaken to the vague impression that their mind was just defiled by a very unpleasant dream. :/

I didn't notice this until rereading but if that's necropony covered in flowers, I think he moves to watch Xira in panel 3! Not sure if that would mean there's any consequences from that.

I kinda just want Xira to get found out cause I like him but BOY are you going about this the wrong way! And trusting the wrong guy, based off of Sev's point of view which seems more valid than the "he's a fellow with and must be my buddy" thing that Xira has going on.
