EXACTLY my first thought.

To be fair, she risks falling in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do, and I've gotten the impression that she fears boredom more than mortals fear death.

I sense some slight tempting of fate.

Perfectly normal and not worth noticing. It's not even written in blood or carved into the sign, pfft.

How can you expect me to take your dire warning seriously if you're not even going to put any effort into it!!

And our team also has a history of ignoring warning signs anyway. (referring to Jonan's cemetery)

I am a bit confused by the last panel. So they say it is probably not safe during the night, right? Because they get magic from the moon, I guess? Also probably they see better in the dark than humans I assume.
So that would make sense if they travelled during the day, right?
But then why is Xira suggesting to sleep during the day?

I think it’s so they don’t get attacked or killed in their sleep. Normally, in stories such as this, the adventurers travel during the day and take turns keeping watch at night. But, because the Muulorn, which are similar to werewolves, are stronger at night, they are better off traveling at night. This is so they are all awake and alert if they’re attacked at night. If they were to take turns sleeping at night, then only one or two of them would be awake if they were ambushed by Muulorn, which could escalate very quickly and end badly. Also, we’re talking about magic powers here, so all of their magic combined is probably no match for even one Muulorn’s magic powers at night.
This reminds me of Book One of a webcomic called Root and Branch. There’s a scene where a group of thieves ambushes and kills the convoy that had been sent with supplies to the post where Ariana the elf was staying. At this point in the story, she had bonded with the men there and felt it was necessary to get vengeance for the men who had been killed. So, in the middle of the night, she tracked down the thieves responsible and slaughtered all of them in their sleep before they knew what had happened. It’s probably the darkest scene in Root and Branch so far. It’s actually usually pretty upbeat and funny.

Yeah, it's basically a thought process of "let's not be at our most vulnerable when they're going to be out and about"!

It seems logical to trust the judgement of the one person in the group (that we know of) who's actually spent some time with Muulorns. I'm wondering if this is going to turn out to be just a typical case of blaming the most different people nearby for anything that goes wrong.
(And I'm sure that big toothy wolfish people will be completely unarmed and helpless without magic, just like humans are)
(Also, is Muulorn magic moon-based, can they cast spells if the moon is up during the day, how different is it from runewriting, how much are we going to find out about it, I'm so excited)
