Neither, actually! Both the MMO and the board game are based on the tabletop roleplaying game (which is the reason DDO has "Online" in the title to differentiate it), which is the original Dungeons & Dragons - the sorta famously geeky one where you sit around a table with character sheets and dice. It's one of my favourite things to play!
Last I looked, DDO remains pretty similar to the stats and mechanics of D&D, though, so you have the right idea. c:

Dude it sounds like so much damn fun >;< but I've never even seen it before. The board games I have are boring. No pun intended.

Hahaha! Well, the original D&D isn't a board game! If you're interested in finding out about it you'll actually have to look in the books section -- look for something called a D&D Players Handbook and start reading up on it, and you can get an idea of how the game works!

I saw what you were doing in Today Nothing Happened and it looked really interesting. I'm going to have a look at some pictures lol.

In the vote incentive I'm not sure whether you meant D&D Online (because I love that game so damn much) or the board game (because I've never even seen what it looks like so dayum) but those statistics looked pretty much accurate.
On a side note, my stomach did flips when I saw the final panel. JONAN DON'T DO THAT WITH YOUR FOOT USE THE FLUTING CANE YOU ARROGANT DERP
