(I don't know why this is so funny to me but I keep laughing at it every time I check the comments)

You've amassed a hilarious fanbase. That's why.

Of course, you could never amass a hilarious fanbase without making a hilarious and heartwarming/heartbreaking webcomic.

She's not choosing to dump out coins, or a spool of thread, or scraps of paper. Her grip on the shoulder bag, with its strap broken off at both ends, is failing. At least, that's how it looks to me.
posted at 6:35am on August 1st, 2016
She doesn't seem too concerned, though.

Yeah, she's grabbed the big things out, the rest is just sort of... detrius. Honestly, if you wanted to know what had been going on with the little group, Jonan's bag is probably the best thing to grab by far- due to the not-talking, everything he's said in the last few days will be all written down.

Wait, wait, wait. So you imply this is a recent... "acquisition" and not the bag she had stolen in Ch2?
posted at 9:49am on August 4th, 2016
I honestly just didn't think of that. However, if she's been carrying it around upside-down since chapter 2, I'd be surprised about there still being stuff in there... The pose with the stuff under the arm also suggests she's just been rummaging through the bag, rather than travelling with the bag and contents.
Although I would also be surprised if Jonan didn't notice his stuff missing. Hmm. Perhaps the 'where is my stuff' will appear in the next page and tell us all for sure.

Nah, I'll go ahead and let you know that Necropony still has his bags, so it's safe to assume she already had this one!

I just noticed. She is also dumping the runestones. Which is strange, I think.

Oooh, I was wondering when we'd see her again. My theory? She's some sort of created being, like a homunculus. IDK, she looks too distinctive to be mundane.

I'm rather sleepy at the moment and can't quite recall- when have we seen her before?

She is the girl that stole Jonan's stuff. She also somehow caused Jonan's "perfectly practiced" spells to rebound? Or that was just an inconvenient accident. But she is surely up to somehing no good.

omg I'm so thrilled you guys remember her :>

....Oh my goodness, Sev, I love you.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!
Argh, I don't know the name of this trope, but it's so tense. It's not a cliffhanger, but close. The "remember this thing from season 2? Yeah, it's stil la thing, it is out there, it is going to be relevant, but I'm keeping it a secret for now so Muahahhaha!"
Ah, darn that girl, I bet she is working for the Agor... oh look at her hand. So knew it!!!

Checkhov's gun.
The fact that I know this is evidence that I have spent far, far too much time procrastinating on TV Tropes.

I legit did think they would find some clever way to get in the air again xD

So glad I'm not the only one who realized that is the same girl that was there/plausibly caused? Jonan's miscast. I honestly didn't expect her to show up again, though, so this just got really interesting. :D
posted at 6:50am on August 1st, 2016
I was momentarily confused how people knew with such certainty that it was Jonan's bag, then I saw the alt text, and facepalmed XD
Weeeeell, if the miscasts went away before they got there, this'd be a far shorter comic, so methinks no

Yeah, my first thought re: the bag was 'how is there still stuff in her bag if she is that bad at holding bags when distracted by people?'

It's that GIRL AGAIN!!!! Join the bet too, if you don't care about keeping the coins lol.
Sev reassuring Æmber: heartwarming
Sev reassuring Jonan: entrance into debt

I keep forgetting that what has been 4-ish years for us is a mere week-ish for our characters! (which is probably a good thing for Jonan ;-)

(If you count the hiatus years, Runewriters turned 5 years old this May!!
If you assume time stopped during the hiatus Æmber-style, then Runewriters is 3 years old. xD )

I was wondering, so did Jonan kill anyone by the use of his spell combo?
Also is that the original bag she stole from Jonan, or did she steal a new one from him now? It looks like the old one.

Yeeeaaahhh, it's pretty much canon that he's killed people. He's sealed their lips shut for, like, a week, so unless they were desperate enough to drink water through their noses or cut their lips open, they're shit out of luck.

Actually, depending on your level of medical/survival knowledge, there is one surefire yet pretty unpleasant way to easily keep people hydrated for that length of time.
You see, the gastrointestinal tract is a tube with two ends. Usually, water goes in the mouth end, but both ends are effective ways of hydrating. You can work the rest out yourself.
posted at 10:59pm on August 3rd, 2016
We don't know. It'd be impossible to survive Jonan's lipsealing spell for its full duration without help, but surprisingly, his reputation suggests he hasn't killed anyone. That's hearsay, though!
And Necropony still has the bags he was carrying, so it'd be safe to assume she had this one already. :>

Oh man how did I only just notice the Agorath marking on her hand?? The intrigue increases!
